10 Pins, 50 Pins, 100 Pins

Did idX just turn into Pinterest?

Hell naw, I figured as it's currently dumping in Utah that I would bring to your attention on Pin Wednesday what is the meaning behind these pins under your idX profile. What do push notifications like "Got Cork", "Clackamas County", "Based Bogus", and "Sun'enheimer Valley" mean? Let's discuss.

AP Pins

Described when Mac Forehand was on the Two Planker Podcast, while at the 2022 Olympics, athletes would go around and exchange pins with other athletes from other countries. This was not your Hope Solo Olympic Village. Pin culture seemed like it was at it's peak underground moment, so we thought why not bring it to idX.

Pin Fundamentals

Despite being able to display one of the greatest pins on idX next to your username at all times if you purchase the Tow Rope Pass or the Backcountry Pass (live on Android and the Web and transferrable across all platforms), we decided to give pins out for the clips that are uploaded to idX. They are given out mostly every Wednesday and are displayed under your profile or in your case. They are supposed to signify an accomplishment for hitting a certain feature, an award/status at your local mountain, participating in an idX event, and other random but significant things we come with at idX Headquarters.

The idX Pin Universe

Currently there are 116 Pins that are live on idX and 130 that are planning to be deployed. Here is a link to the full spreadsheet here, and if you want to make a custom pin or have an idea for one, DM us on IG or reply to this email; we're all ears.

While I don't have a count on who has the most pins (this is will be coming out on the Boards section in the community tab soon), we can give a breakdown of some of my favorite pins.
